Just as one is destroyed, another Deva appears, this time capturing Calumon and taking him back to the Digital World. What will the Tamers do now?

Synopsis

Juggernaut starts to destroy all of the Digimon and even a shield created by Taomon can't protect them. Just when it seems over, the strange child who they keep running into reveals himself to be the Monkey Deva, Makuramon and destroys Juggernaut and Hypnos, reenergizing the Digimon which unfortunately includes Vikarlamon. As Henry's father tries to get the Tamers to safety, Takato decides not give up and shares his strength with WarGrowlmon, allowing him to break free with Henry and Rika following with their own partners. The Digimon overpower Vikarlamon and he is finally destroyed by WarGrowlmon. However, Makuramon kidnaps Calumon, taking the Digimon back to the Digital World. Leomon tries to stop him, but is attacked by Zhuqiaomon and Jeri's wish to help him causes her to get a Digivice and become his partner. Though Vikarlamon is destroyed, the city is left in ruins and the Devas have the chance to become even more powerful with Calumon so the Tamers decide to travel to the Digital World and rescue him.

  • Makuramon's English voice is an imitation of the famous movie star Roddy McDowall.[1]

Miscellaneous trivia

  • Originally, this episode was going to have a scene where one of the men working under Yamaki reveals Shibumi was already dead, however, "Kaze" was to be played at the end of the episode, and so the script had to be shorter than usual, and the scene was cut.[2]
