Cherubimon appears once again, the group knows what to do. Zoe, Tommy, J.P. and Bokomo all make promises for what they will do once Takuya and Koji beat Cherubimon, Koichi wants to talk, but Koji already knows what he means. With their encouragement, Koji and Takuya evolve to MagnaGarurumon and EmperorGreymon to go off and fight Cherubimon one last time. MagnaGarurumon tries an assortment of his many missile/weapons attacks and does a small amount of damage to Cherubimon. EmperorGreymon uses his most powerful attack and blows off the lower half of Cherubimon's body; however, the great angel shows off his regeneration capability. Cherubimon hits them so hard, Takuya looses consciousness for a while and dreams about the promises that their friends made, even the one of being on an "all day date" with Zoe. He eventually wakes up and Koji realizes that the fatal blow must go to the head of Cherubimon. Both digimon perform a final rush against the monster, MagnaGarurumon uses himself as a shield for EmperorGreymon and EmperorGreymon succeeds in finally defeating Cherubimon.
