Royal Knights
The Royal Knights (守護騎士 (ロイヤルナイツ), Shugo Kishi (Roiyaru Naitsu)?, lit. "Guardian Knights") are a group of thirteen Mega-level Holy Knight Digimon that are the Digital World's sacred guardians, and are famed among Digimon as guardian deities of the Network. The group was founded by Imperialdramon Paladin Mode, and serves Yggdrasill. Because the Royal Knights are placed in the highest ranks of Network Security, it is absolutely impossible to violate security in their presence. Based on a certain "Prophecy" handed down from the ancient Digital World, it is said that the Royal Knights will assemble at the time of the Digital World's greatest crisis. Digimon Wiki News 2024 TBA - The re-dubs of Digimon Adventure, Digimon Adventure: Our War Game!, and the two-part film, Digimon Adventure 02: Digimon Hurricane Landing!!/Transcendent Evolution!! The Golden Digimentals will release. TBA - The Digimon Liberator web novel will begin. March 10 - Digimon Seekers releases its final chapter. Minutes later, the Digimon Liberator comic releases its first chapter. March 4 - Digimon Dreamers releases its final chapter. 2023 November 8 - Digimon Adventure 02: The Beginning will air in theathers with an English dub in the United States. October 27 - Digimon Adventure 02: The Beginning will air in theathers all over Japan. October 5 - Digimon Adventure 02: The Beginning will be shown for the first time in Japan at Shinjuku Wald 9. July 30 - it is announced that the films, Digimon Adventure, Digimon Adventure: Our War Game!, and the two-part film, Digimon Adventure 02: Digimon Hurricane Landing!!/Transcendent Evolution!! The Golden Digimentals would all be re-dubbed in English with most of the original cast returning. The original versions were combined into Digimon: The Movie with more than 40 minutes removed, this version will restore those 40 minutes and use the Japanese score. June 25 - Digimon Dreamers moves from Saikyō Jump to the official Digimon website after 21 chapters, though rather than continue with chapter 22 they decide to start again at chapter 1. This also comes with official English and Chinese translations however. April 13 - All 67 episodes of the English dub of Digimon Adventure: are made available on the Microsoft Store. April 3 - The first part of Digimon Seekers was released in Japanese, Chinese, and English. February 22 - Digimon World: Next Order was ported to Nintendo Switch and Microsoft Windows worldwide. It only released on Switch in Japan, however. 2022 July 29 - Digimon Survive released outside Japan for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows. July 28 - Digimon Survive released in Japan on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. July 22 - Nine years after originally being terminated, Digimon Battle - under the name Digimon RPG - relaunches in English. April 21 - Digimon ReArise shuts down. February 27 - During Digimon Con it was announced that an English dub of Digimon Adventure: was announced. 2021 October 28 - Digimon Survive is delayed again. October 3 - Digimon Ghost Game will air on Fuji TV. September 26 - Digimon Adventure: airs its final episode. January - The 2020 Digimon Card Game released in English. 2020 October 8 - Digimon Survive is delayed again. October 6 - Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna will release subbed/dubbed on DVD/Blu-Ray in the west. September 29 - Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna will release digitally in the west subbed/dubbed. August 25 - Bandai announced they would be retconning all Digimon listed as "Xros Wars" level in the Digimon Reference Book to have regular levels and attributes. June 7 - Digimon Adventure:s hiatus ends, and will re-start its broadcast from the first episode, Tokyo Digital Crisis. May 15 - The American English dubs of Digimon Adventure, Digimon Adventure 02, Digimon Tamers, and Digimon Frontier are added to Hulu's streaming catalogue. May 9 - The upcoming English dubbed/subbed direct-to-video DVD/Blu-Ray release of Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna set to release on July 7 is delayed indefinitely. April 19 - Digimon Adventure: is put on indefinite hiatus because of the COVID-19 pandemic. April 4 - Digimon Adventure:, a reboot of Digimon Adventure, started airing in Japan and was simulcasted on Crunchyroll. March 30 - The final chapter of Digimon Chronicle X, "Final Chapter" released. March 17 - Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna, which was supposed to release in American theatres with English subtitles on March 25, is postponed indefinitely due to COVID-19. February 21 - Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna released in Japanese theatres. 2019 December 1 - Digimon Fusion was removed from Netflix. October 18 - Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth and Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth - Hacker's Memory release Worldwide for the Nintendo Switch as Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth Complete Edition. October 17 - Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth and Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth - Hacker's Memory release in Japan for the Nintendo Switch, whilst the two games release Worldwide as Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth Complete Edition for Microsoft Windows. October 14 - All 52 episodes of Digimon Universe App Monsters are streamed on Crunchyroll with Japanese subtitles. October 9 - Digimon ReArise releases in Europe for smartphones. January 15 - A preview of the second and third Digimon Adventure tri. films were shown on the special new years eve anniversary stream that was held on the Japanese media sharing website NicoNico January 14 - The third Digimon Adventure tri. film will be titled Confession (告白, Kokuhaku?) and it will be premiered in Japanese theaters in Summer, 2016 2015 November 22 - The second film in the Digimon Adventure tri. film-series will be titled Determination (決意, Ketsui?) and will be premiered in Japanese theaters on March 12, 2016 November 20 - Anime streaming website Crunchyrollacquired the rights for Digimon Adventure tri. from Toei Animation. 2014 August 1 - At the Digimon Adventure 15th Anniversary Event two new Blu-ray Boxes were announced. Digimon THE MOVIES Blu-ray 1999-2006 will be released January 1 and will contain all movies. Digimon Adventure 15th Anniversary Blu-ray BOX will be released March and contains the entire Digimon Adventure series and a new drama CD. The event also announced a new series for spring 2015, portraying Tai at age 17 and in high school. May 10 - Netflix has added the episodes of Digimon Tamers to its streaming service, and like Digimon Adventure and 02 is available in a sub or dub format. March 11 - The complete 5th season of Digimon will be released on DVD by New Video Group January 18 - The Digimon Fusion Collectible Card Series 1 "New World" will be released. 2013 September 10 - The complete 4th season of Digimon will be released on DVD by New Video Group. September 7 - The American premier of Digimon Fusion will air at 1:30p/12:30c as part of the Power Hour TV program block only on Nickelodeon. August 26 - Reruns of Digimon Adventure 02 began airing on Nicktoons starting with "Enter Flamedramon". August 2- Digimon Adventure and Adventure 02 are now available on Netflix and listed together under two separate versions for the sub (Digimon Adventure) and dub (Digimon: Digital Monsters). This is also the first time that Digimon Adventure was streamed legally in the United States uncut. July 21 - The official Digimon Youtube page was launched by Saban Brands and the first trailer for Digimon Fusion was released on said page. June 11 - The complete 3rd season of Digimon was released on DVD by New Video Group. June 10 - Reruns of Digimon Adventure began airing on Nicktoons starting with And so it begins... and the official Digimon Twitter page was launched by Saban Brands. May 29 - The official Digimon Facebook page was launched by Saban Brands. May 14 - Volume 3 of Digimon Adventure, consisting of episodes 40 thru 54 was released on DVD by New Video Group. March 26 - Volume 2 of Digimon Adventure, consisting of episodes 22 thru 39, and the complete 2nd season of Digimon was released on DVD by New Video Group. 2012 November 19 - Two new Digimon have been announced in connection to Digimon Adventure (PSP): the Royal Knight Gankoomon, and a dragon Digimon connected to it named Huckmon. November 6 - Volume 1 of Digimon Adventure, consisting of episodes 1 thru 21, was released on DVD by New Video Group. October 9 - the complete 1st season of Digimon was released on dvd by New Video Group. 2011 October 2nd - The first episode of Digimon Xros Wars: The Young Hunters Who Leapt Through Time, We, The Digimon Hunters!, premieres on TV Asahi in Japan. August 1st - Happy Odaiba Day to all the Digimon fans out there! August 1st is when the DigiDestined from Digimon Adventure began their journey into the Digital World. July 6th - The first episode of Digimon Xros Wars, Taiki, Go to Another World!, premieres on TV Asahi in Japan. July 2nd - The Digimon Wiki IRC Channel is officially up and running! Did you know...
	Whamon and Minotarumon are Digimon who have an Ultimate as well as Champion form. Digimon Tamers borrows many elements from other works, including Serial Experiments Lain and Neon Genesis Evangelion. Digimon started out in 1997 simply as a virtual pet, intended as a Tamagotchi for boys.
