Core Digivolution is an event in which a Digimon can release the data of an alternate Digivolution from the data of its Digi-Core in order to initiate DNA Digivolution into a new form. Few Digimon have this option open to them. Certain Digimon who have scanned data from previous battles can substitute this for data from their Digicore, but this is considered an impure form.
