A 15-year-old boy, Chiro Hiroshi creates his Digimon partner Boostermon when he slips a mysterious blue card he found in his deck through his hand-held card reading device, changing it into a X-Arc, the Tribe Force version of a Digivice. The appearance and powers of this Digimon come from Chiro's sketches that were scanned into the device. Rushing into a subway, Chiro discovers a small digital version of a hurt Boostermon. A voice asks Chiro if he wants to heal Boostermon. Saying yes, a blue light envelops Boostermon as Chiro heals him with his X-Arc. Chiro's team-mates include 14-year-old Rosie Konomoto, Chiro's girlfriend who has Suadelamon for her partner, a 15-year-old fat Kiro Maroshi, Chiro's best friend who has MetalBeetlemon, and a 17-year-old Kirio Minomoto, Chiro's rival who has Sparkdramon. They also encounter two more Digimon that they frequently run into: Dollmon, a mysterious Digimon that has the power to make other Digimon digivolve but dislikes fighting and only wants to play and eat food, and Pookamon, a rude yet humble Digimon that left his parents because he was sick of their arguing and selfishness and has a temper problem.
