Evidence from Digimon Data Squad

Episode 02: Marcus's Inner Strength

While Marcus and Yoshi argue, Kristy walks by and mentions how they argue like an old married couple. They turn on Kristy and yell "We're not a couple!"

Episode 08: The Singer's Secret

Marcus shows some signs of jealousy when it came to Yoshino posing as Neon's girlfriend, though not as jealous as Miki or Megumi. In the Japanese version, however, Masaru is completely indifferent toward the coupling.

Also, when the readings of Keramon became known, Marcus bursts in and attacked Neon, warning him not to harm Yoshino. However, since he is endangering Yoshi, she slaps him (which was absent in the English version) and tells him not to ruin her investigation.

After Yoshino erases Neon's memory, Marcus stares at her sympathetically.

Episode 16: Falcomon: Friend or Foe?

When Yoshi collapses and is going into unconsciousness Marcus yells "Yoshi! No!" He is then angry because he has to wait outside, while Thomas is allowed inside. He and Agumon then go to a river and while Agumon fools around Marcus states, "We can't let Thomas get all the credit!" (Dub insert)

With Thomas being unable to find a cure for Yoshi, Lalamon asks him to please find a cure. Marcus then viciously grabs him and says "That wasn't a request, that's a demand!" (Dub insert)

Episode 30: Journey to the Sacred City

Yoshi would help Marcus get his DNA charge twice, the first when she tricks Cerberusmon and the second when she has Rosemon tie Gizumon XT. She also speaks to Marcus that his father is amazing.

Episode 44: Human Potential

Yoshi shows extreme worry for Marcus as they race to help him.

Speculation

  • When the Royal Knights attack the human world, Yoshino is constantly worried about Marcus when he was in the digital world fighting the other Royal Knights.
  • In the end, they are very good friends; however, Marcus is absent for a long time at the end of the season so we can only conclude that they are very good friends since no hints are given as to if they start a relationship.
