Some time after the defeat of DarkKnightmon, Ian creates 8 Digimon known as the Digital Knights as guards for the Digital World, but then they betray Shoutmon, and attack the human world with only Flamemon X5 to stop them, and Ian seeing the threat the Digital World is in heads back, and later so does Jeri. Later on in the show Jeri's little brother Star enters the Digital World and forms his own army. The show has another sequel Super Digimon Xros Wars: The DigiQuartz Tales.
