This page is dedicated to the Taichi "Tai" Kamiya and Mimi Tachikawa coupling, also known as Michi (a portmanteau of Taichi and Mimi, the original Japanese names). The two are mainly in Digimon Adventure and often in Digimon Adventure 02.

Digimon Adventure
Episode 1: And so it begins...
When all the kids are together, Tai asks if it is everyone. Sora says, "Where's that girl with the funny pink hat?" Then Tai defends her and says, "Now, now, her name is Mimi." (English Dub)
Tai calls out Mimi's name before the kids see that she and Tanemon are being chased by Kuwagamon. Also, when they find her Tai calls out, "Mimi, it's okay!" (Dub insert)
Episode 3: Garurumon
When the kids are running towards the bus, Tai calls out, "Hey, Mimi! Wait!". He does not call out for anyone else. (Dub insert)
Episode 15: The Dark Network of Etemon
Tai walks in on Mimi while she is taking a bath, assuming for some reason she was in danger.
Episode 17: The Crest of Sincerity
In the beginning of the episode, Tai is saddened because he thinks he messed up with the Agumon evolving into SkullGreymon. Mimi tells him it wasn't his fault (though she adds something hurtful later). Tai says thank you sarcastically, and Mimi takes it seriously and tells him, "You're welcome." Then Tai smiles and nods at her.
At the end of the episode Tai says in his narraration that even though Mimi is somewhat of a ditz, she is sincere and a good friend. He also comments that the fact that she gets the Crest Of Sincerity is "a good call" and "really cool". (Dub insert)
Episode 25: Princess Karaoke
Mimi refuses to leave the Gekomon Castle, and it isn't until Tai shows up with Joe and his Digimon that Mimi decides to leave (Sora, however, plays a significant role).
In her nightmare, she calls out for Tai and Agumon.
Episode 26: Sora's Crest of Love
Tai offers to help Mimi off the boat.
In the original Japanese, when Tai offers to help Mimi off he teases her a little bit by calling her a princess and tells her to "give him her hand". When Mimi seems a bit offended by Tai's joke he laughs that he is "just kidding" with her.
Episode 29: Return to Highton View Terrace
When Tai asks only for one volunnteer, not thirteen, Mimi replies that she "wants to keep Tai company".
Episode 37: Wizardmon's Gift
Mimi rides Greymon, holding on very tightly to Tai.

In Volume 4, there is a panel of Mimi and Tai slightly blushing and winking at each other.
Movie: Our War Game!
Mimi sends Tai a postcard from Hawaii saying "Wish you were here!". She doesn't send the postcard to anyone else.
Speculation
- In the end, Mimi is paired with many other male characters of the series, and it is still a mystery of who she likes best.
- Generally speaking, fans have no real idea who Mimi or Tai ultimately marry, so they may have a future together.
- The two also have very different attitudes, personalities and styles which might apply to the saying "opposites attract".
