In one scene where Rika falls off the train, Takato jumps to her rescue and grabs her refusing to let go. At the end of the movie, Takato is also the one who goes to see if Rika's okay after she walks out of her birthday party. The film's ending is ambiguous, with Takato and Renamon waiting for Rika to come back to them once she deals with personal issues brought on by her battle that day.
