Gatomon without her Tail Ring

Gatomon is a curious and mischievous Exalted Beast, who is also a Champion Digimon. She is known as "Tailmon" in the Japanese version. Without her Tail Ring, she is often treated as a Rookie Digimon, such as in Digimon Digital Card Battle as well as the Japanese D-3 Digivice. Gatomon's cute look covers her talents as a fighter. She looks similar to a white Egyptian kitten with enormous yellow paw-like gloves with black claws and a tail that is two times her length. In order to protect her, the data of the claws of SaberLeomon were copied and attached to her. In addition, it seems Gatomon was one of the first mammals type Digimon. Gatomon's name comes from the Spanish/Portuguese word for cat, "gato".
