Gryphonmon is a Mythical Animal Digimon, a composite of bird and beast. He is named after the Gryphon and is known in Japan as Gryphomon.

A Gryphonmon was among the Mega Level Digimon who appeared to help the Sovereigns fight the D-Reaper.

A Gryphonmon along with a Zanbamon, Pteramon, GranKuwagamon and five Airdramon were seen trying to fight the Royal Knights. During the battle, Crusadermon deflected attacks from Gryphonmon, Pteramon, and GranKuwagamon which resulted in Gryphonmon being destroyed by GranKuwagamon's Dimension Scissors attack.

Gryphonmon is the mega form of Garudamon. He is also a boss character in a species quest in Dawn (BomberNanimon blew up his house in Task Canyon and is later found there; in Dusk it was PrinceMamemon's house in the Magnet Mine).
