Kokomon is a character in the Digimon Adventure 02 film Digimon Hurricane Landing!!/Transcendent Evolution!! The Golden Digimentals, which was dubbed in English as the third part of Digimon: The Movie. Kokomon and his twin brother Gummymon are the partners of the DigiDestined Willis.

Appearance

Kokomon is a small pink blob whose primary feature is his head, which rests above his slug-like foot. Like his twin, Gummymon, he has floppy ears, but where Gummymon has one horn he has three.

Description

Kokomon and its twin Gummymon are Willis's partners. In 1995, while the trio was playing in a meadow, Kokomon was taken and corrupted by the same virus that corrupted Diaboromon.

In the Japanese version of Digimon Adventure 02: Digimon Hurricane Landing!!/Transcendent Evolution!! The Golden Digimentals, the virus is unrelated to Diaboromon.

Seven years later, in 2002, Kokomon reappears as Endigomon and begins terrorizing Willis. Digimon Hurricane Landing!!

In the summer of 2003, when a Digimon pulls Davis, Mimi, Willis, and their Digimon into a mysterious, frozen version of New York City, Davis accuses Kokomon of pulling them into "another strange world", but Gummymon replies that Kokomon is no longer with them.[1] Later, Gummymon claims that Kokomon was unable to go back to normal because he had become such a monster.[2] The Door to Summer

Other Forms

The name "Kokomon" refers to only the In-Training form of this Digimon, although Willis refers to all of his forms by this name, and the credits list him as "Little Kokomon". Throughout the series, Kokomon digivolves into a number of other forms.

Lopmon

In the Japanese version of Digimon Adventure 02: Digimon Hurricane Landing!!/Transcendent Evolution!! The Golden Digimentals, after Kerpymon is defeated, his data is reborn as a Digi-Egg. The Digi-Egg hatches into Lopmon, who shares a tender reunion with Willis and Terriermon.

Lopmon is also a playable character in Digimon Battle Spirit and Digimon Tamers: Battle Spirit Ver. 1.5, capable of digivolving into Kerpymon.

A miscolored Lopmon is depicted to Willis's right on the official poster for Digimon: The Movie.

Endigomon

Due to the virus, Kokomon eventually digivolves into Endigomon.

In the Japanese version of Digimon Adventure 02: Digimon Hurricane Landing!!/Transcendent Evolution!! The Golden Digimentals, Kokomon digivolves simply due to its own loneliness.

By the summer of 2002, Endigomon begins to abduct anyone with the same kind of Digivice that Willis had, including the original six DigiDestined. When Endigomon arrives in New York City to abduct Mimi Tachikawa, Willis and Terriermon try but fail to fight him off, and manage to attract the attentions of Takeru "T.K." Takaishi, Kari Kamiya, Patamon, and Gatomon, who were visiting Mimi at the time. As Endigomon disappears, he instructs Willis to "Go back to the beginning." Willis interprets as the field in Colorado where Endigomon disappeared, and starts on his way there. Spying on Willis making a phone call, Patamon overhears his destination, so T.K. and Kari take a train towards Colorado while asking the rest of the DigiDestined to meet them there. While Davis Motomiya, Yolei Inoue and Cody Hida, DemiVeemon, Poromon, and Upamon stumble upon Willis while hitchhiking, T.K. and Kari's train is abducted by Endigomon into his pocket dimension.

After the DigiDestined hitchhike with a pizza delivery but Davis and Willis miss the ride, Endigomon attacks again. He defeats Flamedramon, but disappears after taking a beating from Gargomon, while reiterating that Willis must "Go back." When the DigiDestined finally arrive at the meadow where Kokomon disappeared, Endigomon reappears. Finally recognizing Willis, he wants nothing more than to be with him like in the old days. However, when he smacks Terriermon aside for interrupting, Willis refuses to go with him. This enrages the Digimon, who digivolves to Antylamon.

Later, after Rapidmon and Magnamon make it inside Kerpymon, the monster's remaining sanity appears to them in the shape of Endigomon, begging them to destroy him and end his suffering. They comply, destroying the vision and Kerpymon.

After Kerpymon is defeated, his data is reborn as a Digi-Egg. The Digi-Egg hatches into Endigomon, who dances happily upon reuniting with Willis and Terriermon.

Attacks

  • Koko Crusher: Reveals hidden canons on his chest and uses that to fire a stream of bullets at his enemies.
  • Cable Crusher: Extends his arms to punch or pin his enemies.

Antylamon

When Willis refuses to go with him, Endigomon digivolves to the Ultimate-level Antylamon. Antylamon is extremely agile and swift, and uses his long arms to deal crushing blows to the DigiDestined children's Digimon. It takes the combined powers of Flamedramon, Halsemon, Digmon and Gargomon to hold him off and blast him into the lake. Although they think him defeated, he simply digivolves again and emerges as Kerpymon.

Kerpymon

After Antylamon is defeated, he rises from the waters of a lake as Kerpymon, a bestial, jester-shaped Digimon who constantly exudes darkness in the form of black snow. He reverts all the Digimon to Rookie Level, then pulls them into his hands and begins to juggle them, only to hurl them away and turn on Willis. Although the Digimon fight back, the monster easily has the upper hand and is about to devour them when Angemon and Angewomon suddenly arrive, blowing off Kerpymon's arms with their divine attacks and releasing the Digimon. In order to bring back the Willis he once knew, Kerpymon then reverses the flow of time, transforming all of the DigiDestined and their Digimon into toddlers. However, he is unable to prevent Angemon and Angewomon from digivolving to Seraphymon and Magnadramon, which releases the Golden Digi-Eggs and allows Veemon and Terriermon to golden armor digivolve into Magnamon and Rapidmon. The Holy Knight Digimon are swallowed by Kerpymon, but within the beast they encounter the soul of Endigomon, who was awakened after it heard Yolei tell Poromon she needed "time to heal", echoing something Willis once told him. The suffering Digimon pleads with Magnamon and Rapidmon to put him out of his misery, so they unleash their strongest attacks at the core of the virus. Released from the virus, Kerpymon reverts to its normal state, but dies seconds later.

Kerpymon (Evil) is Lopmon's digivolution in Digimon Battle Spirit and Digimon Tamers: Battle Spirit Ver. 1.5.
