i figure there's stuff you'd want changing, etc but I figure it's good how it is, though there might be a way to link to the field guide when clicking the digimon name, without having to link to page manually, or am I SOL? I can link it that way if needed, I guess but if there's a quicker way it'll be good stuff
We have this, though I'm not too sure we wanna count it, especially since the Bandai itself states theyre coming from China and being sold in the US, but they do use the names "Omnimon", "MetalTyrannomon", "Beelzemon", "Tyrannomon", but then the Japanese names for the others Diablomon, Beelstarrmon, MegaloGrowmon, Sleipmon, LordKnightmon
theyre all for the X digimon rather than the mains, but perhaps we should count it as "Bandai SEA"
then again, theyre selling them to americans... but theyre selling the chinese stock, since it says "COUNTRY OF ORIGIN : CHINA" at the bottom. so yeah, IDK we wanna count all of these as dub names, only count the ones that match the US names, or count none of them since it seems to be Bandai SEA selling to Americans
then Digimon Battle and Masters also had X digimon, along with Heroes!
My personal opinion is that "X-Antibody" is a naming convention, like having levels in the name (Ex. Daemon Ultra), and can be autodubbed based on DWDS. If you disagree, feel free to bring it up on the editing guidelines page.
True, and I suppose that's fair - though some of them aren't in those games. I wasn't refering to WarGreymon, I pretty much meant stuff like Magnamon X
although with the Japanese names in heroes woulnd't that make magnamon x antibody the first usage, before links?
and not counting heroes, x forms pretty much left for over a decade and now that theyre back, the dub seems to be using the full names. in terms of CBAnes, its prob best to leave them as they are - I just wondered since some of them are showing up fopr the first time. for exmaple, it's not in (dubbed) links right now - but craniamon X for example once it shows up, based on the names of the other digimon in the game will also be the full name
also, I prersonally think heroes, links and the other phone games should be put a level lower than other games due to being mobile games. partly becaise mobile, and partly because they get shut down. eg, heroes isnt accesable any more, no one will find the digimons using those names because it's dead. so yeah, i think games > mobile games for this stuff
I should've removed this a million years ago (unless everyone has it? but it only popped up after that stuff with Guardomon (Gold)) as i've had it since, a good 6+ months and It's annoyed me ever since. No matter how many times I click and read it, it doesn't go away
I saw these more of a "nah let's not list them", but I think there's a few Digimon on here with them (though of course, stuff like "At Change" is ignored anyway, which is also boss only) but if you want them to be counted, Hacker's Memory gives a few boss excluive moves to some digimon that the playable Digimon dont have (though i'd have to get someone to convert pics of the Japanese moves if I find them on a YT vid in japanese I guess) and the ones off the top of my head I remember was megidramon having "losing myself" (but this was for that megidramon based on the story, where he had lost control and it wasnt really a move, it would lwoer his def and boost his attack), matadormon had a move that would give a shit tonne of status effects to you whilst lwoering your stats and the great dragons without azulongmon had a shared attack between the three of them that buffed stats. my thought is "nah", since like I said only the boss versions have said moves but IDK if we want them on there. since, say, the playable matadormon cant have that move (and itd be hella OP lmao) my thought is "character page", but I guess we have "character only moves" on main pages anyway.
i agree, was JW. think im gonna be too lazy to add them, for now at least. womrmon's I care about cuz it was a funny moment, the rest ehhh i cba yet. plus since theyre enemy only, I'd only be able to put a 'fan written' description for it
Honestly, I can't guarantee I'll have the time to do this. To be perfectly clear, I have stuff on my "wiki todo list" from 2009.
I would suggest using http://nihongo.monash.edu/cgi-bin/wwwjdic?1C (multiradical kanji -- basically, select all the "pieces" of the kanji that you see, try to count the strokes (I usually make an estimate then add +2/-2), and see if the results include one that matches.)
Also, the wikipedia page for hiragana and katakana -- it will definitely help to become familiar with those, and doesn't take too long. You can get it to type through romaji either by using @ or # before the romaji on WWWJDIC, or by getting SHIFT-JIS set up as your computer keyboard.
