Murmuxmon is an evil Digimon who was banished on the Floating Island. It is there that he learned about the ancient monster Ornismon and started the war between the Human Digimon (leading them as Darcmon) and the Beast Digimon (leading them as HippoGryphomon) for the purpose of extracting enough data born of hatred to revive Ornismon and conquer the Digital World to have his revenge. He is ultimately destroyed by Agunimon.

[edit] Darcmon Darcmon, voiced by Tara Platt in the US and Takako Uehara in Japan, is the leader of the Human-type Digimon (made up of Kotemon, Dinohyumon, some Yasyamon, Pucchiemon, Nohemon, and FlameWizardmon) on the Wandering Island. She preaches a message of peace, decrying the violent actions of the war, but as events escalate, she urges her followers to fight in the name of peace, although she is nowhere to be found in the ensuing battle. The reasons behind her contradictory actions soon become clear when the DigiDestined follow her and discover that she and the leader of the Beast-types, HippoGryphomon, are the same being. With her deception revealed to both sides, Darcmon shows her true identity to be the villainous Murmuxmon..

[edit] HippoGryphomon HippoGryphomon, voiced by Wally Wingert in the US and Hikaru Midorikawa in Japan, is the leader of the Beast-type Digimon (made up of Bearmon, Grizzlymon, Oryxmon, Rabbitmon, Boarmon, Bullmon, Prairiemon, and Moosemon) on the Wandering Island. He preaches a message of peace with emotion, though he eventually orders a battle against the Human-type Digimon. The reasons behind his contradictory actions soon become clear when the DigiDestined discover that he and the leader of the Human-types, Darcmon, are the same being, and, with the deception revealed to both sides, HippoGryphomon turns into Darcmon then reveals his true identify to be the villainous Murmuxmon.
