The Olympos XII (オリンポス十二神, Orinposu Jūnishin^?)^[1]^[2] are a group of twelve Mega-level Shaman Digimon^[3] modeled after the Roman version of the Twelve Olympians, the "Dii Consentes". The Olympos XII possess power rivaling that of both Plutomon^[4] and the Royal Knights, the guardian deities of the Net, and although they defend the same domain, they are enigmatic, shadowy beings who maintain a neutral standpoint towards the incidents that arise within the Digital World.^[5]

The members of the Olympos XII resemble humans wearing armor based on a specific animal, and they usually have a specified jurisdiction. The group is primarily a facet of the Digimon Card Game, although Merukimon is a major character in Digimon Data Squad anime^[6] and the four then revealed members appeared in the game Digimon World Data Squad. A Neptunmon, Marsmon, and Apollomon are also members of the Bagra Army, and a Mervamon is a member of the Xros Heart United Army in Digimon Fusion, although they are not stated to be members of the Olympos XII.

Remaining membersEdit

Because there are several versions of the Twelve Olympians in Greco-Roman mythology, it is not entirely certain which members the remaining two Digimon will be based on. According to the classical scheme, the remaining members would be "Junomon", and "Vestamon". This scheme also has Vesta later giving her seat to Bacchus, so it is possible that "Bacchusmon" could be used in place of "Vestamon".
