The Olympus Twelve (オリンポス十二神 Orinposu Jūnishin?) are a group of 12 Mega level Shaman Digimon[1] modeled after the Roman version of the Twelve Olympians. The group is primarily a facet of the Digimon Card Game, although the Olympus Twelve member Merukimon was a major character in Digimon Data Squad anime[2], and the four then revealed members appeared in the game Digimon World Data Squad.
The Olympus Twelve are guardian deities of the Net possessing ability rivaling that of the Royal Knights, and while they guard the same area, they are seen to have come to follow independent views regarding the occurrence of disasters in the Digital World.[3]

Marsmon is a God Man Digimon whose name and design are derived from Mars, the Roman god of war. One of the enigmatic "Olympus Twelve", it is a Digimon war god in the shape of a panther-man. Marsmon is familiar with all the ways in the world to fight dirty without weapons, but at the same time he possesses absolute self-confidence regarding friendship through one-on-one combat. It makes use of basic wrestling techniques, but it is strongly concerned about victory and glory, so when push comes to shove it won't hesitate to use concealed weapons like its "Toria Knuckle" or "Metal Korutonosu". However, it exhibits its real power when it uses its bare hands and feet.[3] Attacks

Merukimon is a God Man Digimon whose name and design are derived from Mercury, the Roman god of messengers and commerce. One of the Olympus Twelve, it is a Digimon god of genius who boasts of being the fastest in the Digital World. It is able to outstrip the fastest runner, becoming impossible to perceive with the naked eye, so it is said that all images of Merukimon in records and documents are just afterimages. It hates to stay in the same place, and as it is always wandering the Digital World, it is surely difficult to encounter. Merukimon excels in Shamanism, and its favorite knife "Aztec" is able to slice through space.[6] [edit] Digimon Data SquadAttacks

Minervamon is a God Man Digimon whose name and design are derived from Minerva, the Roman goddess of wisdom. One of the Olympus Twelve, it is a Digimon god in the shape of a maiden. Though it has an extremely short physique, it possesses superhuman strength it uses to freely wield a greatsword, "Olympia", as large as its own body. It possesses a cheerful personality due to its childlike innocence, but when its emotions become violently unstable, it gets into a bad mood which causes selfish and willful behavior that no one can help it cope with.[7] Attacks

Neptunmon is a God Man Digimon whose name and design are derived from Neptune, the Roman god of the sea. One of the Olympus Twelve, it is a Digimon god of the sea which presides over all Aquatic Digimon. Though the Scalemail which covers Neptunemon's body is made of "Chrome Digizoid" converted into the "Blue Digizoid" which excels in agility, it prefers to remove it when possible due to its poor speed in the water. It constructed a castle to reside within, the "Abyss Sanctuary", at the far depths of the sea, so that only those who can withstand the water pressure of the extreme depths may enter.[8] Attacks

Because there are several versions of the Twelve Olympians in Greco-Roman mythology, it is not entirely certain which members the remaining six Digimon will be based on. According to the classical scheme, the initial remaining members would be "Jupitermon", "Junomon", "Ceresmon", "Vulcanmon", "Venusmon", and "Vestamon". This scheme also has Vestia later give her seat to Bacchus, so it is possible that "Bacchusmon" could be used in place of "Vestiamon". Some schemes also would include "Plutomon", though it is unknown who he would take the place of.
