Puppetmon ("Pinocchimon" in Japan, so named after the famous puppet Pinocchio and its classic tale) is a Puppet Digimon in the form of a marionette. Modeled after a marionette, Puppetmon can use his strings to control people, making him the puppeteer. Puppetmon has the mentality of a spoiled brat and a fiery temper: having fun and playing games is all he wants to do, but the kind of games he plays involve death and destruction, even his most innocent-looking toys are capable of inflicting pain on people. Puppetmon has no real concept of friendship, only thinking that people should only exist to obey his demented wills. In fact, most of his henchmen stay with him only because they fear death. Puppetmon's weapon of choice is the "Bullet Hammer", a giant mallet he carries.

Puppetmon digivolves from Cherrymon. He can also be found in the wild, and is also used by the Blood Knights as well. His skill is "Puppet Pummel'" which costs 32MP and is a single-enemy attack. It is the strongest skill for nature-property digimon if counting the damage points only.

After A's loss, Puppetmon appears as an opponent in Infinity Tower along with MetalSeadramon, Machinedramon and Piedmon. The Puppetmon card belongs to the Rare card group and has HP 1540, circle attack 790, triangle attack 570 and jamming cross attack 380. It can be obtained by fusing WaruMonzaemon and Monzaemon at the Fusion Shop.

Puppetmon can be found in Amaterasu's Admin Center where only 3 of the A.o.A Troopers have one. Also the Xuan Wu Chief has a Puppetmon. It is also available as a Brown Mega Card with 36/30.

Puppetmon digivolves from Mamemon if level 42+ and Machine EXP 12000+. It also says he is a cursed Woodmon, although Woodmon does not appear in the game. Puppetmon is also found at the Junk Factory.

Puppetmon digivolves from Tekkamon if already befriended Machinedramon. He also can DNA Digivolve with MetalSeadramon to create Apocalymon.
Attacks
- Puppet Pummel (Bullet Hammer): Attacks with his bullet-filled hammer to cause explosion, or fires bullets from his hammer.
- Flying Cross Cutter (Wood Cross): Throws the marionette handle on his back as a use of a boomerang.
- Wires Choking: Using strings from his marionette to controls his opponents as a puppet. He can also use it to hog-tie his opponents.
- Drill Nose: Rotates his nose as a drill then charges at opponent.
- Big Liar: Lies to his opponents to tricks his enemies. Only using in Digimon Digital Card Battle.
