Pupumon is a Slime Digimon and a carrier of the X Antibody whose name is derived from "Pupu" (Haw: "Shell"), and as such Pupumon is covered in a hard shell. It has grown a body as light as a bubble, as well as very thin wings and somewhat largish eyes which are very sensitive to movement. If something moves Pupumon will notice it and immediately spring away, but this doesn't mean it's a coward, as if the object continues to be unkind and approaches, Pupumon will counterattack.[2]

Pupumon hatches from the Digi-egg, and digivolves to Puroromon after waiting about an hour.

- Doku no Awa (毒のアワ? lit. "Poison Bubbles"): Disgorges poisonous bubbles from its mouth at the opponent.
