[edit] Synopsis

The group arrive back at their summer camp, now with their Digimon, just mere minutes after the freak snowstorm which preceded their departure for the Digital World, though to them it feels like weeks have passed. Disguising their Digimon as stuffed toys they found on a mountain path, the group meet with the summer camp kids who are departing due to the snow. The group then persuade their teacher to drop them off at Highton View Terrace, where they realise they all lived at one point. When Mammothmon, one of Myotismon's destructive recruits, appears, Biyomon digivolves to Garudamon to face him. As the battle takes place, the kids are reminded of a similar battle that happened when they all lived in the area. It was between Greymon and a bird-type Digimon. When Mammothmon is defeated, the group conclude that they were chosen as the DigiDestined after witnessing a Digimon battle at Highton View Terrace four years ago.

[edit] Continuity errors

  • During the flashback, Kari is shown with her hood up, though in the original movie, she had her hood off.

[edit] Animation errors

  • Parrotmon's Holy Rings are mistakenly colored silver in this episode, a flub which carries over to its official Toei art.

[edit] Dubbing changes

  • When a motorcyclist chucks his helmet at Mammothmon, Mammothmon chucks it back, and the English dub cuts out the moment it makes contact with the motorcyclists head.
  • A short clip where Joe blames the Highton View Terrace incident on terrorist bombings is cut out of the English dub, though this was only after the 9/11 incident in the United States in 2001.
  • Highton View Terrace is a made up name used only in the English dub. The location is actually Hikarigaoka, as stated in the original episode.

[edit] Digimon references

  • The kids start to remember events that occured in Highton View Terrace four years ago, and were shown in the movie Digimon Adventure.

[edit] Real-world references

  • The kids travel to Hikarigaoka (aka. Highton View Terrace), in Nerima, Tokyo.
