Seadramon is a Sea Animal Digimon. It has a long, serpentine body, which it uses to wreathe itself around enemies that are coming to attack, and constrict until the enemy suffocates. Naturally, it doesn't have intelligence or speech, and it swims around the Net Ocean leisurely according to its instincts.[6]

During their first night in the Digital World, the DigiDestined come across an abandoned trolley car on the shores of Dragon's Eye Lake, where they decide to spend the night. However, Taichi "Tai" Kamiya and Agumon accidentally strike a large, red, leaf-like object with an ember from the fire, and it turns out to be the tail of a very angry Seadramon, who retaliates by dragging the chunk of shore with the trolley car on it to the middle of the lake. Yamato "Matt" Ishida is the only one not on that part of the shore and leaps into the water to save the others. Seadramon notices him and grabs him with his coils. A Seadramon is partnered to a DigiDestined. When it and its friends were playing on the beach two Eosmon (Ultimate) suddenly jump out of the nearby DigiDestined's phones and attack them in the hopes stealing their consciousnesses so that they could take them to the Never World where they would live inside their partner's memories forever. Seadramon, having digivolved from Betamon, fights back however, and it manages to survive long enough to not get kidnapped, the Eosmon turning into data after the main one is defeated in the Never World.

While crossing the ocean to the Eternal Continent, ElDradimon's passengers witness a Seadramon eat an Ebidramon, causing it to digivolve into WaruSeadramon. During WaruSeadramon and MegaSeadramon's battle with the DigiDestined, two more Seadramon appear to help in response to WaruSeadramon's call. However, Zudomon suddenly rises between the Seadramon, Tai Kamiya and Agumon, repelling their charge. When Valkyrimon tests Tai, a Seadramon is amongst the Digimon that attacks Tai and Botamon. Seadramon tries to suck the two in, but Tai grabs a passing log and uses it to jam Seadramon's mouth open, buying them time to escape. Digimon V-Pet Version I[]
In the Bandai release of the Digimon V-Pets in 1997, Seadramon is one of the digivolved forms of Betamon. To get Seadramon, the person must raise their Betamon medium-poorly and wake it up during the night 0-9 times. Seadramon is one of the weakest Champion level Digimon obtainable. If treated perfectly, with a win streak over 50% (with 15+ battles), Seadramon can digivolve into the ultimate level Mamemon.
Digimon World[]
Seadramon can also be found at Dragon Eye Lake (near the three Goburimon) in the morning (8:00) and the evening (17:00) as a huge fish in the lake, moving on a fixed path. It can be fished with any bait and any rod. Upon catching Mameo has the choice to ride across the lake to Beetle Land, learn one of 3 water moves or get the Waterbottle. Seadramon can be caught multiple times until the first option has been chosen.
Seadramon digivolves from Betamon and can digivolve into MegaSeadramon or Megadramon. If the waste gauge hits maximum, it will digivolve to Sukamon. If it reaches 240 hours of life without digivolving to the Ultimate level, it has a 50% chance of digivolving to Vademon when praised or scolded. At 360 hours, it will digivolve to Vademon regardless. Seadramon has a 30% chance to digivolve to Airdramon when its discipline is gauge at 100% and it has zero tiredness whilst sleeping.

The Seadramon card is #050 and is a Champion level Ice-type card with 1150 HP, needing 40 DP to digivolve into, and worth 20 DP in the DP Slot. Its attacks are:
- "Ice Blast": inflicts 360 damage.
- "Water Shock": inflicts 250 damage.
- "Mind Freezer": inflicts 100 damage, and sets the opponent's attack to 0.
Its support effect is "Opponent's Attack Power is halved."

Seadramon digivolves from Crabmon [8+ DP] and can digivolve further into MegaSeadramon. His speciality is Ice and his technique, Ice Blast, lets him to attack all opponents at once. His technique spends 18 MP.
Digimon World 3[]
Seadramon is found in Asuka South Sector by fishing, except Ether Jungle and South Cape, which is replaced by Shellmon. It replaces Betamon in Divermon's Lake after the Suzaku Leader is defeated. Sometimes it drops Water Power 1 after defeated. In Amaterasu Server's Bulk Swamp, there is a recolored version. It is also available as a Blue Champion Card with 16/15.

Seadramon digivolves from Kamemon and Lalamon and can digivolve to Megadramon, MegaSeadramon, and WarGrowlmon. If the waste gauge fills to the maximum, it will digivolve to Sukamon.

Digimon ReArise[]
When Goblimon and Raremon eat at one of their favorite restaurants, they are unable to pay the bill as it was ten times higher than it usually is despite them ordering the same amount as they always do. Now in debt to the restaurant, the owner forces them to work off the debt and sends them to fish in the spring however this pisses off a Seadramon, as they were stealing the fish that live there without permission and so it attacks them. Gabumon, who was on is on its way to the Human World to check up on Agumon, comes across the situation and Goblimon begs Gabumon to help them. Seadramon assumes Gabumon is friends with them and attacks Gabumon as well and now having to defend itself Gabumon digivolves to Garurumon and defeats the Seadramon. Gabumon explains that it was just passing by though still tries to calm down the situation and they learn why they had been stealing the fish. Seadramon decides to let the duo off having learned they weren't doing it because they were evil, though the duo instead have to come up with another way to pay off their debt. Digimon Survive[]
When the children travel through the waterway on their way to infiltrate the enemy base, Arukenimon follows them. When she's discovered she creates a thick gas, knocking them all out. She has her minions, Seadramon included, pretend to be fake versions of the Kemonogami partners who insult them and even try to kill them, though the children are able to figure out that they were fake and not their actual partners since they would do those things. Upon being discovered as fakes, Seadramon and the other fake partners reveal their true forms and attack the real versions, though are defeated, with this happening multiple times to each kid (Shuuji Kayama being the sole exception, as he instead saw fake versions of his Father).
Seadramon evolves from Betamon and Gomamon can evolve to MegaSeadramon. If Takuma Momozuka is able to befriend a Seadramon and asks it for an item, it will give him a Big Bandage.
