Searchmon is an Insectoid Digimon whose name is derived from search. It armor-digivolved due to the "Digi-Egg of Knowledge". It has "inquisitive" habits due to the effects of the "Digi-Egg of Knowledge", and it performs information gathering and reconnaissance with the radome (radar) attached to its back. It detects the presence of enemies no matter how small their sounds or vibrations are if they are picked up by Searchmon, and also gathers information on them.[4] The insignia on its radar is that of the Crest of Knowledge.
