Takato and Guilmon become one to reach Mega, and prove to be a match for Beelzemon as they try to avenge Leomon's death.

Synopsis[]

Gallantmon and Beelzemon start their battle. While they are evenly matched at first, Beelzemon calls on his bike Behemoth to get an upper hand. Meanwhile, the Tamers are taking care of their Digimon, and looking for Takato. Gallantmon destroys Behemoth with a blow that causes the whole Digital World to shake. Zhuqiaomon decides to use this as a distraction and orders his last Deva Caturamon to destroy Lopmon, the traitor. He almost succeeds in killing both Suzie and Lopmon until Terriermon takes the blow, and Renamon gets them away. Gallantmon destroys Caturamon, but Beelzemon absorbs his data and becomes stronger. Renamon rescues Terriermon, while Henry tries to convince Suzie to give up Lopmon, due to Lopmon being a Deva. Beelzemon next attacks Kazu, Kenta and Guardromon, but is stopped again by Gallantmon. As Kenta, Guardromon, and Kazu escape, Kenta says that he thinks Gallantmon is Takato. Beelzemon finally gets Gallantmon, but before he can strike the final blow, Guardromon shoots missiles at him. Gallantmon strikes back, then in a blaze of glory, Gallantmon uses his "Shield Of The Just" attack and knocks Beelzemon out. He is about to kill him when Jeri says that there has been too much death already, so Gallantmon spares him. Jeri's kindness finally reaches Beelzemon, and he leaves without fulfilling his contract. With the battle over, Takato and Guilmon return to normal and a new golden D-Power appears in front of Takato and Guilmon.

Quotes[]

"Long live the Sovereigns!"

Caturamon's last words.

Beelzemon:"Hey, what's goin' on here, huh?!"
Gallantmon: Beelzemon, you rejected every friendship offered you. In return, you betrayed them and destroyed a valiant soul. I cannot forgive what you have done.
Beelzemon: You can't forgive me? I don't recall ever askin' you to forgive me! We'll talk about forgiveness when I wipe you out of existence!
Gallantmon: So be it!

Gallantmon lets Beelzemon have it before they fight.

Beelzemon:"You'll excuse me if I'm not impressed, your highness, but I got a deal to close...and you happen t' be in my way!"
Gallantmon: Even now, you show no remorse for what you have done. I have no choice...but to destroy you!
Beelzemon: Right!
—Give it up, Gallantmon'. Beelzemon is clearly beyond reason. Jeri, why?

—'Takato talk to Jeri

Dubbing changes

  • In the English dub, Gallantmon's voice is made with Takato and Guilmon speaking in unison as with the DNA Digivolutions from the preceding season. However, in the original Dukemon speaks with a variation of Guilmon's voice, with Takato's voice only heard when he is shown speaking.
  • Scenes where Beelzemon points his guns at Gallantmon's head are censored.

Real-world references
