After a brief talk with Taiki, Nene discovers that her Black X Loader no longer works and collapses. Needing to get her some help, the team decide to take Nene to the Monitamon's home in the Shinobi Zone. However, whilst traveling between zones, the group are attacked by Arkadimon who was sent by Lilithmon, and Taiki ends up getting separated from his X Loader and the others who end up in a dark space. As Taiki is thrown away, he is pulled into a strange book and meets a Digimon researcher named Wisemon who explains to him about the Code Crowns and the strange occurrences in the human world. Meanwhile, Shoutmon and the others are trapped in a small cave in the dark space unable to fight Arkadimon due to the nature of the space which could eliminate them. Taiki convinces Wisemon to let him help his team and he soon makes his way over. As Taiki runs into trouble, Wisemon decides to assist Taiki until he retrieves his Xros Loader and DigiXros Shoutmon into Shoutmon X5 as well as making sure the others are safe. Arkadimon attempts to stop them escaping, but lastly get destroy when strikes by the attack from Darkdramon upon activate his DigiMemory and another from Shoutmon X5. Lilithmon arrived and get enraged, discovering that Arkadimon was defeated. With Wisemon deciding to join Team Xros Heart, they arrive in the Shinobi Zone where they are greeted by a clan of Monitamon.

The previously expanded animation for Taiki's DigiXros sequence has been modified to show colored thumbnails of each of Xros Heart's DigiXros components, and ChibiKamemon, Dondokomon, Knightmon, the PawnChessmons, and Persiamon have been added to the sequence.
